Alexander Schmitt will assume the position of Chief Reinsurance Officer at MSIG Insurance Europe AG (MSIGEU) with effect from March 1, 2019 and will thus be responsible for the Reinsurance department.

Alexander Schmitt has already worked closely with the Reinsurance department, in his current position as Chief Underwriting Officer Casualty & Specialties. In his new position he will keep reporting to the member of the management board responsible for underwriting and reinsurance, Patrick Smolka. This personnel change should further intensify the cooperation between underwriting and reinsurance and strengthen the reinsurance department for a successful future of our company.

Klaus M. Przybyla, Chairman of MSIGEU’s Management Board: “Mr. Schmitt has significantly promoted the success of the Casualty & Specialties department since the founding of our company. We are sure that he will expand the reinsurance area as a strategic pillar of our company in his new position.”

Rolf Stoltefuß will assume the position as Chief Underwriting Officer Casualty & Specialties, which has thus become vacant from March 1. He will report to Patrick Smolka directly. Here, too, we are pleased that we have once again found a qualified internal candidate for this position. Rolf Stoltefuß can look back on many years of experience in the international liability insurance sector and works since 2016 as Senior Underwriter Casualty & Specialties in our company.

Klaus M. Przybyla: “On behalf of the entire Management Board, I wish both colleagues good luck and success with their new challenges. We look forward to continue the successful cooperation with Alexander Schmitt and Rolf Stoltefuß in their new positions.”
