MSIGEU is pleased to announce that its parent company Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd, Japan ("MSI") is introducing the advanced IT platform PULSE.

MSI made the announcement today (https://www.ms-ins.com/english/news/FY2021/pdf/1109_1.pdf).

The platform will be rolled out successively across MSI's global network. It supports MSI's global initiative to further drive digitalization in the area of corporate insurance as well. PULSE was developed by the Swiss Re Group and aims to facilitate the implementation of international insurance programs for globally active companies.

The platform supports clients' global risk management and increases the transparency as well as the efficient use of risk-related information. In addition, it supports compliance, the entire spectrum of placement and administration of international insurance programs as well as network communications.

MSIGEU plans to begin using PULSE in mid-2022, enabling it to further drive its growth strategy in the international insurance program sector. Patrick Smolka, MSIGEU management board member responsible for underwriting and reinsurance, emphasizes the resulting advantages, especially for his clients:

"I am very pleased that our group is implementing PULSE and that we have been able to make a decisive contribution to it. It will make us in the area of International Programs more responsive and better. In particular, our customers will benefit from PULSE, as we will be able to provide them with essential information about their global insurance coverage at any time. This will enable us to strengthen and expand our position in the market."
