Since November 1, Thierry Portevin has been responsible for the Engineering division at MSIGEU and has taken on the new position of Chief Risk Engineer.

He thus takes over the Technical Insurance division from Thomas Limbach, who is handing it over at his own request. In addition, he will take over the newly created position of Chief Risk Engineer and further expand the Risk Engineering division at MSIGEU.

Thierry Portevin comes from AGCS, where he held various positions. The graduated engineer has in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in underwriting in the Property and Engineering lines of business as well as in Risk Engineering. As Global Head and Chief Underwriting Officer of Engineering and Property, the 54-year-old also gained experience in leading international teams. Most recently, as Global Head of Allianz Risk Consulting, he was responsible for risk consulting in all lines of business. In addition to his various positions at AGCS in Munich and Paris, the French-born worked at AGF in Paris.

Patrick Smolka, Management Board Member and Chief Underwriting Officer of MSIGEU: "We are delighted to have Thierry Portevin join our team at MSIGEU, a colleague with deep expertise and management experience. He has extensive experience and contacts in the industry in both underwriting engineering and risk management. Together with him, we will follow our strategy and continue to sustainably develop the Technical Insurance division profitably and position ourselves more strongly in Risk Engineering. We would like to thank Thomas Limbach, who has built up the Engineering division at MSIGEU from the very beginning, and we are delighted that he will continue to support the Engineering team with his extraordinary expertise."
