Our story
- The MS&AD Group has been serving insurance customers in Europe for over 40 years
2007
- Former Gerling employees found the German Desk, initially in Düsseldorf
- Underwriting of the first risk as a branch of Mitsui Sumimoto Insurance Company (Europe) Limited
2012
- Establishment of MSIG Insurance Europe AG (MSIGEU) with headquarters in Cologne
- Approved by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority
- Establishment of European offices in France and Slovakia
2013
- Establishment of European offices in Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain
2014
- Transfer of the portfolio of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company (Europe) Limited to MSIG Insurance Europe AG
2018
- Launch of our company-wide IT project MIRAI to take advantage of the opportunities of digitalization for our customers and employees
2021
- Updating our Europe-wide strategy to consolidate and expand our market position
2022
- Joint development of our claim We take care with our employees to strengthen our identity internally and externally
- Expanding our offices in Italy and Spain, which now offer insurance coverage to local customers in addition to Japanese customers
