Benoit Desmet
Benoit Desmet is Head of Internal Audit at MSIG Europe, where he leads the company’s internal audit function, supporting effective governance, risk management and internal controls across the organisation. He brings more than 20 years of international experience spanning internal audit, finance (reporting, accounting , tax and transformation), and internal controls.
Before joining MSIG Europe, Benoit held a number of senior leadership positions at CommScope, including Finance Transformation Director, S/4HANA Finance Project Lead and Accounting Director. Earlier in his career, he spent over a decade with AB InBev in a variety of audit and controls leadership roles, including Global Internal Control Director, Internal Audit Director and SOX Project Director.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, he has served as a lecturer in Business Management, reflecting his commitment to developing future business professionals. Benoit holds a Master’s degree in Commercial Science (Accounting) and is recognised for his expertise in internal audit, financial governance, risk management and organisational transformation.
Control Function Mandate
To provide independent and objective assurance to the Board and Audit Committee on the effectiveness of MSIG Europe’s governance, risk management, and internal control framework, supporting regulatory compliance and the achievement of strategic objectives.
