Cécile Flandre
Cécile Flandre is Chair of the Audit Committee and an Independent Non-Executive Director of MSIG Europe SE. She brings extensive executive and board-level experience across the insurance and financial services sectors, with deep expertise in finance, governance, audit, risk management and regulatory oversight.
Cécile previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director at leading Belgian insurers Belfius Insurance and Ethias. Earlier in her career, she held supervisory responsibilities within the Belgian financial regulator, giving her a strong understanding of prudential regulation and corporate governance.
Throughout her career, she has served on the boards and audit committees of numerous regulated financial institutions and strategic infrastructure companies, including listed organisations. She currently serves as Chair of Board, Audit and Investment Committees, and as an Independent Non-Executive Director across the insurance, financial services and energy sectors. She holds Master’s degrees in Mathematics and Actuarial Science from the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and is a qualified actuary.
