Matteo Brioschi
Matteo Brioschi is Country Manager for Italy at MSIG Europe, where he leads the company’s Italian operations and is responsible for driving growth, market development and client relationships across one of the organisation’s key European markets. Prior to his appointment as Country Manager, Matteo served as Underwriting Director for MSIG Europe’s Italy branch and previously held the role of Head of Property & Engineering, joining the business in 2022.
With more than 20 years of experience in commercial insurance, Matteo has developed extensive expertise in property, engineering and corporate risks. He began his career with Allianz as a Loss Prevention Engineer before moving into engineering and industrial risk underwriting. He subsequently joined UnipolSai, where he held a series of increasingly senior underwriting and management positions within the Corporate Business division, culminating in his appointment as Head of Property.
Throughout his career, Matteo has built a strong reputation for technical excellence, strategic leadership and the management of complex commercial risks. Combining deep underwriting expertise with extensive market knowledge, he plays a key role in strengthening MSIG Europe’s presence and growth ambitions in Italy. Matteo holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan (Politecnico di Milano).
