Shintaro Shimada
Shintaro Shimada is a Non-Executive Director of MSIG Europe and an Executive Officer of MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc., with responsibility for the Group’s European business, reinsurance operations, and activities across Africa, the Middle East and CIS markets. He has over 25 years of international insurance experience spanning international business development, operations and executive leadership.
Prior to his current role, Shintaro served as Chief Liaison Officer at MS Amlin and held senior leadership positions within Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company and MS&AD Insurance Group, including General Manager and Head of the Asia Section within the International Business Department. He has also held a number of international assignments in London, including Director and Head of JIA Business at MSIG UK.
With extensive experience across global insurance markets and deep knowledge of the MS&AD Insurance Group, Shintaro provides valuable strategic insight and a Group-wide perspective to the Board of MSIG Europe, supporting the company’s sustainable growth while ensuring alignment with the Group’s strategic direction.
