Strengthening Local Leadership: Welcoming New Country Managers in France and Italy

As we continue to strengthen our presence across Europe, we are pleased to announce two important leadership appointments that reinforce our commitment to our clients, broker partners and people.
We are delighted to welcome Olivier Reiz as Country Manager France and congratulate Matteo Brioschi on his appointment as Country Manager Italy.
Driving Growth in France
Having officially assumed responsibility for MSIG Europe’s operations in France, Olivier Reiz brings nearly 30 years of insurance industry experience gained across leading consulting firms and international insurance groups. Prior to joining MSIG Europe, he held senior leadership positions including Country Manager France at Liberty Specialty Markets and spent more than 14 years with Chubb.
A qualified actuary, Olivier combines deep technical expertise with extensive experience in business development, organisational transformation and team leadership. Throughout his career, he has successfully supported business growth and led teams through periods of change while maintaining a strong focus on client relationships and operational excellence.
As Country Manager France, Olivier will focus on accelerating profitable growth, strengthening relationships with clients and broker partners, and further enhancing MSIG Europe’s reputation for expertise, proximity and service excellence in the French market.
Building on Success in Italy
In Italy, Matteo Brioschi has been appointed Country Manager following regulatory approval, succeeding Giorgio Bidoli, who will retire at a later stage. Matteo joined MSIG in 2022 and most recently served as Underwriting Director, playing a key role in the development of the Italian business.
With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, including leadership positions at Unipol Assicurazioni and Allianz, Matteo brings a wealth of market knowledge and underwriting expertise to his new role.
As Country Manager, he will lead the strategic direction and operational management of the Italian branch, with a focus on building on MSIG Europe’s strong market position and continuing to support customers and partners with high-quality insurance solutions.
