Since March 1, Caroline Hoyer and Ute Tschentke have been jointly leading the newly created Financial Reporting & Controlling department as Chief Financial Reporting & Controlling Officers.

They report directly to our Chief Financial Officer Dr. Carsten Hoffmann. The department is responsible for the financial management cycle, including planning, forecasting, business monitoring, and the closing process.

Caroline Hoyer joined the company in October 2022 as Head of Finance Principles. Previously, she held various positions at the auditing and consulting firm Mazars and at Axa. Ute Tschentke joined MSIGEU in November 2019 and has been Head of Controlling & Investment since October 2022. She has a career background at the consulting firm Bearing Point and most recently at Swiss Re.

Dr. Carsten Hoffmann, board member and Chief Financial Officer of MSIGEU: “With the consolidation of accounting and controlling, we are well-equipped to respond to the increasing complexity in the closing process, especially due to IFRS 17. This is also a significant step towards less hierarchy in a more agile finance function. I am particularly pleased that we were able to internally fill this new leadership position with Caroline Hoyer and Ute Tschentke, both of whom possess in-depth specialist knowledge and leadership experience.”

Marc A. Caspers, Chief People Officer of MSIGEU: “With the new shared leadership approach in the Financial Reporting & Controlling department, we demonstrate that we embrace modern leadership models that also promote work-life balance. I wish our shared leadership team, Caroline Hoyer and Ute Tschentke, much success in their new roles.”
